It gives me immense pleasure to welcome new entrants to this institution of higher learning for receiving quality education. Govt. Degree College Nowshera since its establishment in 2008, has been striving hard towards maintaining high academic standards and excellence in the field of education. The college has recently been awarded B+ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). With the development of infrastructure facilities and the use of modern technology, the college has the required potential to further improve its grade in the next accreditation. At present the college offers Arts and Science Streams. From the current session, the college is admitting the students under National Educational Policy (NEP-2020). The new policy is based on flexibility, multidisciplinary education, conceptual understanding, critical thinking, ethical values etc. The college has been maintaining a tradition of inculcating human values in the minds of students. Stress is laid on physical, mental and intellectual development of the students. Besides imparting quality education, a large number of extracurricular activities such as debates, workshops, webinars, symposia and seminars are also conducted from time to time for all round personality development of the students. These activities give the opportunity to explore different area of interest, increase self-confidence, build leadership skills and even improve academic records of the students. Career guidance cell, women development cell, red ribbon club, sports club, NSS and NCC offer integrated services to our students. Education is the most important weapon which can be used to change the world. It drives away ignorance and contributes to the betterment of the society. In this direction, all possible support is given to our students in the form of encouragement and motivation to create a suitable learning environment. I strongly believe that all odds, all challenges and all handicaps of life can be overcome with the strong determination and persistent hard work. Our main focus is to empower the students with sound knowledge, wisdom, experience and value-based education so that they can face any kind of situation with confidence. The college has a highly committed and dedicated team of teaching and supporting staff in order to provide high quality educational experience to our students.
